Back down the mountain to Navajoa, and back out into the Sonoran dert.  Than changed to lush farmland as we crossed the line into Sinaloa.  Lots of road toll stops, lots of holday traffic.\u00a0 Much better after switching from cuoda (toll) to libre (free)\u00a0 after Guasave.\u00a0 Nice two-lane, all to ourselves;\u00a0 flew past Neuvo Ingleterra.<\/p>\n<p>Stopped for the night in Culiacan;\u00a0 big, ugly, nasty Mexican city of 680,000.\u00a0 Struggled to find a place we could afford to stay in.\u00a0 Was supposed to include internet, but we could not stay connected.\u00a0 Went to Centro, found a casino and got excited, but no card games, just machines.\u00a0 Had chinese food for dinner, and went back to hotel to sleep.\u00a0 I have been suffering with some sort of bronchitis-like thing since leaving Silver City, and it is getting pretty serious.\u00a0 If it does not improve soon, I will need to visit a clinic or farmacia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Up early (for us!) and had a &#8216;hot shower&#8217; at Jerry&#8217;s.
